Male hormone therapy reduces complaints from 62% to 11%

Men diagnosed with Androgen Deficiency in the Aging Male (ADAM), treated with testosterone undecanoate injections, show significant improvement.

Preliminary results from the ongoing IPASS (International, multi-centre, Post-Authorisation Surveillance Study) demonstrate that, following hormone therapy with testosterone undecanoate injections, complaints of low libido decreased from 62% to 11% among the 937 men monitored by researchers to date. Another aspect highlighted in IPASS: improved erectile function. At the study's inception, 61% of participants exhibited erectile dysfunction (ED) ranging from moderate to extremely severe. “After receiving testosterone replacement, the incidence of patients with moderate or severe ED decreased to 25%.”

Aging and quality of life are significantly impacted by testosterone deficiency, elevating the risk of various diseases.

Addressing testosterone deficit is crucial for maintaining the health of mature men. The decline in this hormone's levels in the male body, associated with advancing age, is linked not only to issues affecting quality of life—such as ED and low libido—but also to metabolic and cardiovascular diseases: type 2 diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia (e.g., high cholesterol). Furthermore, ADAM can lead to psychological symptoms such as depression, irritability, and difficulty concentrating, and is also associated with reduced bone and muscle mass in men. In this context, hormone therapy can alleviate the signs of ADAM.
